And al-waraq, vocalized: from writing and trees: is wealth, its singular is bahaa', and what pools of blood on the ground, or what falls from a wound, and the young of every animal, and wealth from camels, dirhams, and others, and from people: their young men, or the weak of the youths, and the beauty of people, and their splendor, and the beauty of the world and its joy, and bahaa': the base, and the noble, opposites.
ورجل ورق، وامرأة ورقة: خسيسان.
And a man warq, and a woman warqah: are base.
وشجرة وريقة وورقة: كثيرة الورق، وقد ورق الشجر يرق وأورق وورق توريقا.
And a tree wariqah and waraqah: is leafy, and trees become leafy, and bear leaves, and are made leafy with leafing.
وككتاب: وقت خروجه.
And like kitāb: the time of his departure.
والوارقة: الشجرة الخضراء الورق، الحسنته.
And al-wariqah: the tree green with leaves, making it beautiful.
والرقة، كعدة: أول نبات النصي والصليان، والأرض التي يصيبها المطر في الصفرية، أو في القيظ فتنبت، فتكون خضراء.
And al-riqqah, like 'iddah: the first growth of clover and alfalfa, and the land that rain hits in spring or summer and grows, becoming green.
ورقان: ع، وبكسر الراء: جبل أسود بين العرج والرويثة بيمين المصعد من المدينة إلى مكة، حرسهما الله تعالى.
Warqan: a place, and with a kasrah on the ra': a black mountain between Al-Arj and Al-Ruwaythah to the right of one ascending from Medina to Mecca, may God protect them.
وفي القوس ورقة، بالفتح: عيب.
And in the bow, warqah, with a fatha: a defect.
والأورق من الإبل: ما في لونه بياض إلى سواد، وهو من أطيب الإبل لحما لا سيرا وعملا، والرماد، وعام لا مطر فيه، واللبن ثلثاه ماء وثلثه لبن، ج: ورق.
And al-awraq from camels: that whose color is between white and black, and it is among the best camels for meat, not for travel or work, and ash, and a year without rain, and milk two-thirds water and one-third milk, plural: waraq.
والورقاء: الذئبة، والحمامة، ج: وراقى ووراق، كصحارى وصحار، والنسبة: ورقاوي.
And al-warqaa': the she-wolf, and the dove, plural: waraaqi and waraaq, like sahaara and suhaar, and theنسبة (nisbah) is: warqaawi.
وأورق: كثر ماله ودراهمه، و الصائد: لم يصد، و الطالب: لم ينل، و الغازي: لم يغنم.
And awraqa: his wealth and dirhams increased, and the hunter: did not catch, and the seeker: did not obtain, and the raider: did not gain spoils.
وإيراق العنب يوراق: لون فهو موراق.
And the ripening of grapes, yuraaqu: color, so it is muraaq.
وتورقت الناقة: أكلت الورق.
And the she-camel tawarraqat: ate leaves.
وما زلت منك موارقا: قريبا مدانيا.
And I remained near you muwaarigan: close, approaching.
والتجارة مورقة للمال، كمجلبة: مكثرة.
And trade is muuriqah for wealth, like majlabah: increasing.
