And the sheep was split, like farḥ: its ear split lengthwise, so it is sharqā', and its saliva: it choked, and the blood in its eye: it reddened, and the sun: its light weakened, or it neared sunset, and he added, peace be upon him, saying: "... they delay the prayer until the east of the dead", because its light at that time falls on the graves, or he meant that they pray it and there remains of the day only as much as remains of the breath of the dying person when their saliva chokes.
