And the shī'ah of a man, with kasrah: his followers and supporters, and a group by itself, and it applies to one, two, or a group, masculine or feminine, and this name has become dominant for everyone who follows Ali and his household, until it became a specific name for them, plural: ashyā' and shī', like 'inab.
وشعت بالشيء، كبعت: أذعته وأظهرته، كأشعته، و به، و الإناء: ملأته، فهو مشيع.
And sha'ta bi-al-shay', ka-ba'ta: you made it known and revealed it, like ashā'tahu, and with it, and the vessel: you filled it, so he is mushī'.
وشاعكم السلام، كمال: عليكم السلام، أو تبعكم، أو لا فارقكم، أو ملأكم السلام.
And shā'akum al-salām, ka-māl: 'alaykum al-salām, or it followed you, or may it not leave you, or may peace fill you.

وكمعظم: الشجاع، كأنه شيع بغيره أو بقوة قلبه، والعجول، و"نهى صلى الله عليه وسلم عن المشيعة في الأضاحي"، بالفتح، أي: التي تحتاج إلى من يشيعها، أي يتبعها الغنم لضعفها، وبالكسر: وهي التي تشيع الغنم، أي: تتبعها لعجفها.
And ka-mu'aẓẓam: the brave, as if he were supported by others or by the strength of his heart, and the hasty, and "the Prophet, peace be upon him, forbade al-mushay'ah in sacrifices", with fatḥah, meaning: one that needs someone to shī'ah it, i.e., the sheep follow it due to its weakness, and with kasrah: it is one that shī'ah the sheep, i.e., they follow it due to its leanness.
وشايعه: والاه، و بإبله: صاح ودعاها، و فلانا: تابعه على أمر.
And shāyacahu: he supported him, and with his camels: he called out and summoned them, and fulānan: he followed him in a matter.
