And in the hadith: 'Indeed, a tribe from Ad disobeyed their messenger, so Allah transformed them into nansanas, each person among them having one hand and one leg from a single side, hopping like a bird hops, and grazing like cattle graze.'
وقيل: أولئك انقرضوا، والموجود على تلك الخلقة خلق على حدة، أو هم ثلاثة أجناس: ناس ونسناس ونسانس.
And it was said: Those have perished, and what exists in that form is a separate creation, or they are of three kinds: humans, nansanas, and nansanis.
أو النسانس: الإناث منهم، أو هم أرفع قدرا من النسناس، أو هم يأجوج ومأجوج، أو هم قوم من بني آدم، أو خلق على صورة الناس، وخالفوهم في أشياء، وليسوا منهم.
Or al-nansanis: the females among them, or they are of higher status than the nansanas, or they are Gog and Magog, or they are a people from the children of Adam, or creatures in the image of humans, who differed from them in some things, and are not of them.
وناقة ذات نسناس: سير باق.
And a she-camel with nansanas: remaining travel strength.
وقرب نسناس: سريع.
And fast nansanas: fast.
وقطع الله تعالى نسناسه: سيره وأثره.
And Allah the Almighty cut off his nansanas: his journey and his trace.
ونسس الصبي تنسيسا: قال له إس إس ليبول أو يتغوط، و البهيمة: مشاها.
And he made the boy say 'iss iss' for urination or defecation, and the animal: he made it walk.
ونسنس: ضعف، و الطائر: أسرع، و الريح: هبت هبوبا باردا.
And nassana: weakened, and the bird: moved faster, and the wind: blew a cool breeze.
وتنسس منه خيرا: تنسمه.
And he sensed good from him: he perceived it.
