And a prison that Ali, may God Almighty be pleased with him, built. He initially made it of reeds and named it Nafi', but thieves broke into it. So he said: 'Do you not see me, wise and discerning, building after Nafi' a strong and trustworthy prison, a gatekeeper?' And Sinan ibn al-Mukhays, like muhaddath: killed Sahm ibn Burdah.

And Abu al-Mukhays al-Sukuni, and Mukhays ibn Dhabiyan al-Awabi: are two Tabi'in (successors).

And Mukhays ibn Tamim: is from the followers of the Tabi'in, or he is in the pattern of majlaz.
والإبل المخيسة، بالفتح: التي لم تسرح، ولكنها حبست للنحر أو القسم
