And the night: it became dark, so it is ghadirah, like farahah, and mughaddirah, like muhsinah.
وَالنَّاقَةُ عَنِ الإِبِلِ: تَخَلَّفَتْ
And the she-camel from the camels: she lagged behind.
وَالغَنَمُ: شَبِعَتْ فِي المَرْتَعِ فِي أَوَّلِ نَبْتِهِ
And the sheep: they became full from grazing on the first growth of pasture.
وَالأَرْضُ: كَثُرَ بِهَا الغَدَرُ، مُحَرَّكَةً، وَهُوَ كُلُّ مَوْضِعٍ صَعْبٍ لَا تَكَادُ الدَّابَّةُ تَنْفُذُ فِيهِ، وَالجَحْرَةُ، وَاللَّخَاقِيقُ مِنَ الأَرْضِ المُتَعَادِيَةِ، وَالحِجَارَةُ
And the land: ghadar (difficult terrain) became abundant in it, vocalized; and it is any difficult place that an animal can hardly pass through, and a burrow, and the rugged parts of uneven land, and stones.
وَرَجُلٌ ثَبْتُ الغَدَرِ، مُحَرَّكَةً: يَثْبُتُ فِي القِتَالِ وَالجَدَلِ وَفِي جَمِيعِ مَا يَأْخُذُ فِيهِ
And a man thabt al-ghadar, vocalized: he is steadfast in combat, debate, and in all that he undertakes.
وَالغَدْرَةُ: الشَّرُّ
And al-ghadrah: evil.
وَالغَيْدَارُ: السَّيِّءُ الظَّنِّ، فَيَظُنُّ، فَيُصِيبُ
And al-ghaydar: one who has bad suspicions, so he suspects, and he is correct.
وَآلُ غَدْرَانَ، بِالضَّمِّ: بَطْنٌ
And Aal Ghadran, with damma: a lineage.
