He established the thing, establishing it firmly and solidly; it is established and made firm. He consolidated it, made it heavy, like he consolidated it, so it became firm. He joined it to him. والميطدة: خشبة يوطد بها أساس بناء وغيره ليصلب.
And the 'mitadah' is a beam by which the foundation of a building and other things are reinforced to make them solid.
والوطائد: أثافي القدر، وقواعد البنيان.
And the 'wata'id' are the tripods for the pot, and the foundations of a building.
والمتواطد: الدائم الثابت الذي بعضه في إثر بعض، والشديد.
And the 'mutawatid' is the enduring, firm one, where one part follows another, and the strong one.
