ورأيته وحده: مصدر، لا يثنى ولا يجمع، ونصبه على الحال عند البصريين لا على المصدر، وأخطأ الجوهري، ويونس منهم ينصبه على الظرف بإسقاط على، أو هو اسم ممكن، فيقال: جلس وحده، وعلى وحده، وعلى وحدهما ووحديهما ووحدهم، وهذا على حدته، وعلى وحده، أي: توحده
And I saw him 'wahdahu': a masdar, it is not dualized nor pluralized, and its نصب is as a circumstantial adverb according to the Basrans, not as a masdar, and Al-Jawhari erred, and Yunus from them makes it a ظرف by omitting 'ala', or it is a possible noun, so it is said: he sat 'wahdahu', and 'ala wahdih', and 'ala wahdahuma wa wahdiyihima wa wahdihim, and this is 'ala hidatih', and 'ala wahdih', meaning: his being alone.

وإذا رأيت أكمات منفردات كل واحدة بائنة عن الأخرى، فتلك ميحاد ومواحيد
And if you see isolated mounds, each one separate from the other, then those are 'mihad' and 'mawahid'.
وزلت قدم الجوهري فقال: الميحاد من الواحد، كالمعشار من العشرة، لأنه إن أراد الاشتقاق، فما أقل جدواه، وإن أراد أن المعشار عشرة عشرة، كما أن الميحاد فرد فرد، فغلط، لأن المعشار والعشر واحد من العشرة، ولا يقال في الميحاد واحد من الواحد
And Al-Jawhari stumbled and said: 'Al-mihad' is from 'Al-Wahid', like 'Al-Mi'shar' is from 'Al-'Ashara', because if he meant derivation, then its benefit is little, and if he meant that 'Al-Mi'shar' is ten by ten, just as 'Al-Mihad' is one by one, then he erred, because 'Al-Mi'shar' and 'Al-'Ashara' are one out of ten, and one out of one is not said for 'Al-Mihad'.
