والمدة، بالضم: الغاية من الزمان والمكان، والبرهة من الدهر، واسم ما استمددت به من المداد على القلم، وبالكسر: القيح.
And al-muddah, with dammah: the limit of time and place, and the duration of an age, and the name of what you drew with from the ink on the pen, and with kasrah: pus.
والأمدود، بالضم: العادة.
And al-amdood, with dammah: the habit.
والأمدة، كالأسنة: سدى الغزل، والمساك في جانبي الثوب إذا ابتدئ بعمله.

And al-imdad: delaying the appointed time, and supporting the soldiers with a group other than yours, and giving, and relief, or in evil: you supported him, and in good: you provided him with support, and giving the writer the duration of a pen, and in a wound: that a period is obtained in it, and in the 'urfuj plant: that water flows in its stem.
والمادة: الزيادة المتصلة.
And al-maddah: the continuous increase.
والممادة: المماطلة.
And al-mumadah: procrastination.
والاستمداد: طلب المدد.
And al-istimdad: seeking support.
ومدمد: هرب.
And mudmad: he fled.
