وحسبك درهم: كفاك.
And 'hasbuk dirham' means: it suffices you, a dirham.
وشيء حساب: كاف، ومنه: {عطاء حسابا}.
And something 'hisāb' is sufficient, and from this is: {a sufficient gift}.
وهذا رجل حسبك من رجل، أي: كاف لك من غيره، للواحد والتثنية والجمع.
And this is a man sufficient for you from other men, meaning: enough for you instead of others, for singular, dual, and plural.
وحسيبك الله، أي: انتقم الله منك.
And 'hasibuk Allah' means: may Allah take vengeance on you.
وككتاب: الجمع الكثير من الناس.

And 'al-husbān', with dammah: is the plural of 'al-hisāb', and torment, affliction, evil, dust storms, locusts, and small arrows.
والحسبانة: واحدها، والوسادة الصغيرة، كالمحسبة، والنملة الصغيرة، والصاعقة، والسحابة، والبردة.
And 'al-husbānah': is its singular, and a small pillow, like 'al-muhabbah', a small ant, a thunderbolt, a cloud, and a cloak.
وهو حسن الحسبة: حسن التدبير.
And he is of good 'hasbah': meaning good management.

وحسبه كذا، كنعم في لغتيه، محسبة ومحسبة وحسبانا، بالكسر: ظنه.
And 'hasibahu kadha', like 'na'am' in its two languages, 'muḥāsabah' and 'muḥasabah' and 'ḥusbān', with kasrah: means he thought it so.
وما كان في حسباني (كذا) ، ولا تقل: في حسابي.
And what was in my 'husbānī' (thus), and do not say: in my 'hisābī'.
والحسب والحسبة، بالكسر، والتحسيب: دفن الميت في الحجارة أو مكفنا وحسبه تحسيبا وسده وأطعمه وسقاه حتى شبع وروي، كأحسبه.
And 'al-hasab' and 'al-ḥasbah', with kasrah, and 'al-taḥsīb': is burying the dead in stones or shrouding him, and 'hasabahu taḥsībān' means he buried him, and provided for him, and fed him and gave him drink until he was full and quenched, like 'aḥsabahu'.
وتحسب: توسد، وتعرف، وتوخى، واستخبر، واحتسب عليه: أنكر، ومنه: المحتسب.
And 'taḥassaba': means to use as a pillow, to know, to seek, to inquire, and 'iḥtasaba 'alayhi': means he disapproved, and from this is: 'al-muḥtasib'.
وفلان ابنا أو بنتا: إذا مات كبيرا، فإن مات صغيرا قيل: افترطه.
And 'faulān ibnān aw bintān': if he died as an adult, but if he died as a child, it is said: 'iftaraṭahu'.
واحتسب بكذا أجرا عند الله: اعتده ينوي به وجه الله، و فلانا: اختبر ما عنده.
And 'iḥtasaba bikadhā ajran 'inda Allāh': means he counted it as a reward with Allah, intending the face of Allah, and 'iḥtasaba fulānan': means he tested what he had.
وأحسبه: أرضاه.
And 'aḥsabahu': means he satisfied him.
واحتسب: انتهى.
And 'iḥtasaba': means he finished.
