فبينا هو عنده إذ أقبل ثعلبان يشتدان حتى تسنماه، فبالا عليه، فقال البيت

فقال: "مااسمك"؟ فقال: غاوي بن عبد العزى، فقال: "بل أنت راشد بن عبد ربه"
He said: 'What is your name?' He said: 'Ghawi bin 'Abd al-'Uzza.' He said: 'Rather, you are Rashid bin 'Abd Rabbih.'
وأرض مثعلة ومثعلبة: كثيرتها.
And a land that is math'alah and math'alabah: abundant with them [foxes].
والثعلبتان: ابن جدعاء، وابن رومان.
And Al-Tha'labatan: Ibn Jad'a, and Ibn Ruman.
وأبو ثعلبة الخشني، جرثوم بن ياسر أو ناشب أو لابس أو ناشم، أو اسمه جرهم: صحابي.
