ويقال: لفلان على فلان مازية أي فضل، وكان فلان عني مازية العام وقاصية وكالية وزاكية.

And it is said: so-and-so has a 'maziyyah' over so-and-so, meaning superiority, and so-and-so was a 'maziyyah' to me this year, and a 'qasiyah', 'kaliyah', and 'zaliyah'.

وقعد فلان عني مازيا ومتمازيا أي مخالفا بعيدا.
