If one of you finds takhaa' upon his heart, let him eat quince; al-takhyaa' means heaviness, a covering, and a swoon, and the origin of al-takhyaa' and al-takhya is darkness and clouds.

إن للقلب طخاء كطخاء القمر أي شيئا يغشاه كما يغشى القمر.
