الخنا: الفحش في القول، ويجوز أن يكون من أخنى عليه الدهر إذا مال عليه وأهلكه.

من لم يدع الخنا والكذب فلا حاجة لله في أن يدع طعامه وشرابه.

وأخنى الجراد: كثر بيضه؛
And 'akhna al-jarad': the locusts laid many eggs;
وأخنى المرعى: كثر نباته والتف؛
And 'akhna al-mar'a': the pasture grew abundantly and densely;
أصك مصلم الأذنين أخنى، له بالسي تنوم وآء
A ram with blunt ears, dense (pasture), with it at the 'al-sayy' there is sleep and fatigue.
