فلا تبعدن، إما هلكت، فلا شوى ... ضئيل، ولا عزهى من القوم عانس
So do not go far away; if I perish, then there will be no meager roast meat, nor an 'azhā among the people, an old maid.
والعنزاه والعنزهوة: الكبر
And al-'anzāh and al-'anzahuwah: arrogance.
يقال: رجل فيه عنزهوة أي كبر
It is said: a man has 'anzahuwah, meaning arrogance.
جمع العزهاة عزهون، تسقط منه الهاء والألف الممالة لأنها زائدة فلا تستخلف فتحة
The plural of al-'azhah is 'azhūn, from which the ha' and the slanted alif are dropped because they are extra and do not substitute a fatha.
وتقول في جمع أعشى أعشون ويحيى يحيون، لأنه على بناء أفعل ويفعل، فلذلك فتحت في الجمع
