وفي الحديث: به به إنك لضخم ؛ قيل: هي بمعنى بخ بخ.

يقال: بخبخ به وبهبه، غير أن الموضع لا يحتمله إلا على بعد لأنه قال إنك لضخم كالمنكر عليه، وبخ بخ لا تقال في الإنكار.
It is said: 'Bakhbakh' and 'bahbah' to him, except that the context does not allow it except distantly because he said 'you are large' as if disapproving of him, and 'bakh bakh' is not said in disapproval.

Al-Mufaddal al-Dabbi said: It is said that around him are the 'bahbah' sounds, meaning many.

الجوهري: البهباه في الهدير مثل البخباخ.
Al-Jawhari said: 'Al-bahbah' in rumbling is like 'al-bakhbakh'.
ابن الأعرابي: في هدره بهبه وبخبخ، والبعير يبهبه في هديره.
Ibn al-A'rabi said: In its rumbling is 'bahbah' and 'bakhbakh', and the camel 'bahbah's' in its rumbling.
ابن سيده: والبهبهي الجسيم الجريء؛ قال: لا تراه في حادث الدهر إلا ... وهو يغدو ببهبهي جريم
Ibn Sidah said: And 'al-bahbahiyy' is the large and bold one. He said: You do not see him in the vicissitudes of time except... he goes forth as a large, bold one.
