They are the heedless ones concerning the world, its people, their corruption, and their envy.
والمرأة بلهاء
And the woman is 'balha'.
أنها غر لا دهاء لها فهي تخبرني بأسرارها
Meaning she is naive and has no cunning, so she tells me her secrets.
من امرأة بلهاء لم تحفظ ولم تضيع
From a naive woman who did not preserve (her chastity) and did not lose (what sustains her).
والتباله: استعمال البله
And 'at-tabaluh': the practice of innocence.
وتباله أي أرى من نفسه ذلك وليس به
And 'tuballuhu' means he shows that of himself, though he is not like that.
والتبله: تعسف الطريق على غير هداية ولا مسألة
And 'at-taballuh': taking a path without guidance or asking.
فلان يتبله تبلها إذا تعسف طريقا لا يهتدي فيها ولا يستقيم على صوبها
So-and-so 'yataballuhu' a 'taballuhan' if he takes a path he cannot find his way on and does not stay on its course.
وهو في بلهنية من العيش أي سعة
And he is in 'balhaniyyah' of living, meaning abundance.
وعيش أبله: واسع قليل الغموم
And an 'ablah' life: wide and with few worries.
إما تريني خلق المموه، براق أصلاد الجبين الأجله، بعد غداني الشباب الأبله
If you show me the complexion of the one who is adorned, with a shining forehead, after the tenderness of youthful 'ablah' has reached me.
وهو نعمته وغفلته
And it is its luxury and its heedlessness.
ما لي أراكم نياما في بلهنية لا تفزعون، وهذا الليث قد جمعا؟
Why do I see you sleeping in comfort, not alarmed, while this lion has gathered?
وهي التي لا تنحاش من شيء مكانة ورزانة كأنها حمقاء
And she is one that is not startled by anything, due to her steadiness and composure, as if she were foolish.
تحرقك النار أن تراها بله أن تصلاها
The fire burns you to see it, let alone to enter it.
بله إني لم أخن عهدا، ولم أقترف ذنبا فتجزيني النقم
Leave it, indeed I have not betrayed a covenant, nor committed a sin for which punishment would suffice me.
بله ما اطلعتم عليه
Leave aside what you have seen.
نصل السيوف إذا قصرن بخطونا قدما، ونلحقها إذا لم تلحق تذر الجماجم ضاحيا هاماتها، بله الأكف، كأنها لم تخلق
The swords' blades, when they fall short in our stride forward, and we catch up to them if they don't catch up, leave skulls exposed, their tops bare, let alone the hands, as if they were not created.
مشي النجيبة، بله الجلة النجبا
The walk of the noble one, let alone the large, noble ones.
أعطيهم الجهد مني، بله ما أسع
I give them the effort from me, leave aside what I can manage.
