Leaving the evening meal is a cause of old age, meaning a likelihood of decrepitude.

إن الله لم يضع داء إلا وضع له دواء إلا الهرم ؛ الهرم: الكبر، جعل الهرم داء تشبيها به لأن الموت يتعقبه كالأدواء.
Indeed, Allah has not sent down a disease except that He has sent down its cure, except for old age; old age is extreme age, old age was made a disease by comparison to it because death follows it like diseases.
وابن هرمة: آخر ولد الشيخ والعجوز، وعلى مثاله ابن عجزة.
And 'Ibn Harmat': the last child of an old man and an old woman, and like it is 'Ibn 'Ajzah'.
وما عنده هرمانة ولا مهرم أي مطمع.
And he has no ambition ('harmānah') nor desire ('mihram'), meaning no greed.
وقدح هرم: منثلم؛ عن أبي حنيفة؛ وأنشد للجعدي: جوز كجوز الحمار جرده الخراس، ... لا ناقس ولا هرم

And 'al-hirm', with sukun: a type of sour plant with saltiness, and it is the most lowly and most spread out on the ground and flattest; Zuhayr said: And they trampled us with a trampling out of anger, ... the trampling of the hobbled one on dry 'hirm'.
واحدته هرمة، وهي التي يقال لها حيهلة.
Its singular is 'harimah', and it is what is called 'ḥayhalah'.
وفي المثل: أذل من هرمة، وقيل: هي البقلة الحمقاء؛ عن كراع، وقيل: هو شجر؛ عنه أيضا.

وكان النبي، صلى الله عليه وسلم، يتعوذ من الهرم.
And the Prophet, peace be upon him, used to seek refuge from old age.
اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الأهرمين : البناء والبئر؛ قال: هكذا روي بالراء، والمشهور الأهدمين، بالدال، وقد تقدم.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the two 'ahramayn': the building and the well; he said: Thus it is narrated with 'ra', and the famous is 'al-ahdamayn', with 'dal', and it has preceded.
وبعير هارم وإبل هوارم: ترعى الهرم، وقيل: هي التي تأكل الهرم فتبيض منه عثانينها وشعر وجهها؛ قال: أكلن هرما فالوجوه شيب
And a camel 'hārim' and camels 'hawārim': grazing on 'hirm', and it was said: they are those that eat 'hirm' and their chin-tufts and facial hair turn white from it; he said: They ate 'hirm', so their faces became white.
وإنك لا تدري علام ينزأ هرمك وإنك لا تدري بمن يولع هرمك؛ حكاه يعقوب ولم يفسره.
And you do not know what your soul ('hirmak') is agitated by, and you do not know whom your soul ('hirmak') is infatuated with; Ya'qub narrated it and did not explain it.
سمعت غير واحد من العرب يقول: هرمت اللحم تهريما إذا قطعته قطعا صغارا مثل الحزة والوذرة. ولحم مهرم.
I heard more than one Arab say: I cut the meat into small pieces ('tahrīmā') if I cut it into small pieces like 'hazzah' and 'wadhrah'. And meat that is 'muharram'.
وهرم وهرمي وهرم وهرمة وهريم وهرام، كلها: أسماء.
And 'hirm', 'hurmiyy', 'hirm', 'harimah', 'huraym', and 'hirām', all are names.
ويقال: ما له هرمان؛ والهرمان، بالضم: العقل والرأي.
And it is said: He has no 'harmān'; and 'al-hurmān', with dammah: intellect and opinion.
وهرم بن سنان بن أبي حارثة المري: من بني مرة بن عوف بن سعد بن دينار؛ وهو صاحب زهير الذي يقول فيه: إن البخيل ملوم حيث كان، ولكن ... الجواد، على علاته، هرم
And Harm bin Sinan bin Abi Harithah al-Murrī: from Banu Murrah bin 'Awf bin Sa'd bin Dīnār; he is the companion of Zuhayr, about whom he says: Indeed, the miser is blamed wherever he is, but ... the generous one, despite his limitations, is 'hirm'.
وأما هرم بن قطبة بن سيار فمن بني فزارة، وهو الذي تنافر إليه عامر وعلقمة
As for Harm bin Qutbah bin Sayyar, he is from Banu Fazārah, and he is the one to whom 'Āmir and 'Alqamah went for arbitration.
والهرمان: بناءان بمصر، حرسها الله تعالى.
And 'al-Harmān': two buildings in Egypt, may Allah protect it.
