إذا كان النقاب على الفم فهو اللثام واللفام
If the veil is on the mouth, it is al-litham and al-lifam.
يضيء لنا كالبدر تحت غمامة، ... وقد زل عن غر الثنايا لفامها

وبنو تميم تقول في هذا المعنى: تلثمت تلثما
And Banu Tamim say in this meaning: 'talaththamat talaththaman'.
وإذا انتهى إلى الأنف فغشيه أو بعضه فهو النقاب.
And if it reaches the nose and covers it or part of it, it is al-niqab.
