Al-Nadr: Al-qadhmu is the leader, of generous disposition, and vast in territory.
والقَذَمُ والقَثَمُ: الأسْخِياءُ
And al-qadhmu and al-qathamu: the generous ones.
والقَذِيمَةُ: قِطعةٌ من المالِ يُعطيها الرجلُ، وجَمعُها قَذائِمُ

والقَذَمُ، على وزنِ الهِجَفِ: الرجلُ الشَّديدُ، وقيل: الشَّديدُ السَّريعُ

يُقالُ: جَفْرٌ قَذَامٌ أي واسِعُ الفَمِ كثيرُ الماءِ يَقْذِمُ بالماءِ أي يَدْفَعُهُ
It is said: A jafru qadhāmun, meaning wide-mouthed and abundant in water, it qadhama with water, meaning it pushes it.
وقالوا: امرأةٌ قَذِمٌ فوصفوا به الجُمْلَةَ
And they said: A woman is qadhim, and they described the whole entity with it.
وابنُ الأعرابيِّ: القَذْمُ الآبارُ الخَسْفُ، واحدُها قَذُومٌ
And Ibn al-A'rābī: Al-qadhmu refers to excavated wells, the singular of which is qadhūmun.
