خير الأمور عوازمها
The best of matters are their obligations.
إن الله يحب أن تؤتى رخصه كما يحب أن تؤتى عزائمه
Allah loves that His concessions be observed, just as He loves that His obligations be observed.
عزائمه فرائضه التي أوجبها الله وأمرنا بها.
His obligations are His obligatory duties which Allah has ordained and commanded us.
فعزم الله لي أي خلق لي قوة وصبرا.

أما والله لئن دنوت لأضرطنك قال: كلا، والله إنها لعزوم مفزعة؛ أراد بالعزوم استه أي صبور مجدة صحيحة العقد، يريد أنها ذات عزم وصرامة وحزم وقوة، وليست بواهية فتضرط، وإنما أراد نفسه، وقوله مفزعة بها تنزل الأفزاع فتجليها.
By Allah, if you come near, I will make you fart! He said: Never! By Allah, it is a resolute and frightening anus; he meant by 'al-'uzum' his anus, meaning patient, strong, soundly contracted, meaning it has determination, firmness, prudence, and strength, and is not weak so as to fart, and he only meant himself, and his saying 'frightening' means that fears descend upon it and are dispelled.

فأما كل عوزمة وبكر، ... فمما يستعين به السبيل

سوقا بالعوازم ؛ العوازم: جمع عوزم وهي الناقة المسنة وفيها بقية، كنى بها عن النساء كما كنى عنهن بالقوارير، ويجوز أن يكون أراد النوق نفسها لضعفها.
