ورجل طحمة مثال همزة: شديد العراك.
And a man 'tahmah' like 'hamzah': fierce in combat.
وقوس طحوم: سريعة السهم.
And a swift bow: shoots the arrow quickly.
الأصمعي: الطحوم والطحور الدفوع.
Al-Asma'i: Al-tahum and Al-tahur are the pushing ones.
وقوس طحوم وطحور بمعنى واحد.
And a swift bow and a pushing bow are synonymous.
والطحمة: ضرب من النبت، وهي الطحماء؛
