والبلمة: الضبعة، وقيل: هي ورم الحياء من شدة الضبعة.

الأصمعي: إذا ورم حياء الناقة من الضبعة قيل: قد أبلمت، ويقال بها بلمة شديدة.
Al-Asma'i: If the she-camel's vulva swells from the heat, it is said: she has become ablamat, and it is said she has a severe balama.
والمبلم والمبلام: الناقة التي لا ترغو من شدة الضبعة، وخص ثعلب به البكرة من الإبل؛ قال أبو الهيثم: إنما تبلم البكرات خاصة دون غيرها؛ قال نصير: البكرة التي لم يضربها الفحل قط فإنها إذا ضبعت أبلمت فيقال هي مبلم، بغير هاء، وذلك أن يرم حياؤها عند ذلك، ولا تبلم إلا بكرة، قال أبو منصور: وكذلك قال أبو زيد: المبلم البكرة التي لم تنتج قط ولم يضربها فحل، فذلك الإبلام، وإذا ضربها الفحل ثم نتجوها فإنها تضبع ولا تبلم.
And al-muballam and al-muballam: the she-camel that does not vocalize from the intensity of the heat, and Tha'lab specified it for the young she-camel among camels; Abu Al-Haytham said: only young she-camels become muballam, not others; Naseer said: a young she-camel that has never been mated by a stallion, if she is in heat, she becomes ablamat, and it is said she is muballam, without ha', and that is because her vulva swells at that time, and only a young she-camel becomes ablamat, Abu Mansur said: Likewise, Abu Zayd said: Al-muballam is the young she-camel that has never given birth and has not been mated by a stallion, that is al-iblam, and if the stallion mates her and then she gives birth, she will be in heat but will not become ablamat.
الجوهري: أبلمت الناقة إذا ورم حياؤها من شدة الضبعة، وقيل: لا تبلم إلا البكرة ما لم تنتج.
Al-Jawhari: A she-camel becomes ablamat if her vulva swells from the intensity of the heat, and it is said: only a young she-camel becomes ablamat as long as she has not given birth.
وأبلمت شفته: ورمت، والاسم البلمة.

والتبليم: التقبيح. يقال: لا تبلم عليه أمره أي لا تقبح أمره، مأخوذ من أبلمت الناقة إذا ورم حياؤها من الضبعة.
And al-tablim: making ugly. It is said: do not tablim his affair, meaning do not make his affair ugly, derived from a she-camel becoming ablamat when her vulva swells from the heat.
ابن بري: قال أبو عمرو يقال ما سمعت له أبلمة أي حركة؛ وأنشد:
Ibn al-Bari: Abu Amr said it is said 'I did not hear any ablama from him', meaning movement; and he recited:
فما سمعت، بعد تلك النأمه، ... منها ولا منه هناك أبلمه
So I did not hear, after that stir, ... from her nor from him there any ablama.
وفي حديث الدجال: رأيته بيلمانيا أقمر هجانا أي ضخم منتفخ، ويروى بالفاء.
And in the Hadith of the Antichrist: I saw him baylamaniyan, large and bloated, meaning huge and swollen, and it is narrated with fa'.
والبلماء: ليلة البدر لعظم القمر فيها لأنه يكون تاما.

And a free woman, not to be pitied, I amused myself with her, ... if the fortunate one were to live forever in bliss, as if, upon her insides and her confinement, ... musk-like streams bound with iblim, meaning ambergris; Al-Azhari said and others said: Al-iblim is honey, he said: and I do not memorize it from a trustworthy Imam, and baylam al-najjar: a dialect for biram.
