And the letters of al-Qalaqalah are: Jim, Taa, Daal, Qaaf, and Baa; Sibawayh narrated them, saying: They are named so because of the sound that occurs from them when stopping (at the end of a word), because you cannot stop at them except with it (the sound) due to the intensity of the letter's pressure.
