And the satl: a bird resembling an eagle, or it is that; and it was said: it is a large bird like a vulture, dark in color, which carries the thigh bone of a camel and the shin bone or any bone with marrow, until when it is in the middle of the sky it drops it onto rocks or cliffs until it breaks, then it descends upon it and eats its marrow; and the plural is satlan and satlan.
وَالسَّتَالَةُ: الرَّذَالَةُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ.
And the baseness: the baseness of everything.
