قال ابن الأثير: التنكير في دنيا وآخرة يرجع إلى المضاف إليهما، وهو العمل كأنه قال لا في عمل من أعمال الدنيا ولا في عمل من أعمال الآخرة
Ibn al-Athir said: The indefiniteness in 'worldly' and 'hereafter' refers to the object of the preposition, which is 'work', as if he said: not in any of the works of this world nor in any of the works of the hereafter.
جاء الرجل يمشي سبهللا إذا جاء وذهب في غير شيء
The man came walking 'sabahlalan' when he came and went for no reason.
رأيت فلانا يمشي سبهللا وهو المختال في مشيته
I saw so-and-so walking 'sabahlalan', and he was strutting in his gait.
يقال: مشى فلان السبهلى كما تقول السبطرى
It is said: So-and-so walked with As-Sabahla, just as you say As-Sibṭara.
والسبطرى: الانبساط في المشي
And As-Sibṭara: is the ease and expansiveness in walking.
والسبهلى: التبختر
And As-Sabahla: is the swaggering.
