And the people of so-and-so sent their stud animal, meaning their stallion.
And it is like His saying, Exalted is He: Alif, Lam, Mim. These are the verses of the Wise Book; meaning, and God knows best, the well-established. This is indicated by His saying: Alif, Lam, Ra. A Book whose verses are made firm; and similar to this is their saying for the warner, nādir, and for the hearer, samīʿ.
And a mursal hadith if it is one whose chain of transmission is not connected.
And al-murāsil from women: she who corresponds with suitors.
And it was said: she is the one whose husband has left her, by whatever means, whether he died or divorced her.
And it was said: al-murāsil is she who has aged but still has some youthfulness.
And in the hadith of Abu Hurayrah: that a man from the Ansar married a woman murāsilan, meaning a previously married woman.
So the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: Why not a virgin whom you could play with and who could play with you?
And it was said: a murāsil woman is one whose husband dies or she senses he wants to divorce her, so she adorns herself for another.
Hubaīrah walks after the killing of his elder, ... walking like the murāsil who has been informed of divorce.
He means: he is not seeking vengeance for his father's blood. He said: al-murāsil is she who has been divorced multiple times, so she has become accustomed to divorce, meaning she does not care about it.
And it is said: a jārīyah rasal if she is young and does not cover her head.
And I have played with a young virgin, ... her touch is softer than the touch of silk.
And arsala ash-shay': to let it loose and neglect it.
Have you not seen that We have sent the devils against the disbelievers, inciting them vigorously?
One of them is that We let the devils loose upon them and did not protect them from accepting from them.
And the second opinion, which is preferred, is that they were sent upon them and assigned to them due to their disbelief, as Allah Almighty said: And whoever is blind to the remembrance of the Most Merciful, We appoint for him a devil.
And His saying, Almighty: 'We have sent the devils against the disbelievers,' means that His sending of prophets is His revelation to them, 'Warn My servants,' and His sending of devils against the disbelievers is letting them loose, just as you say: I had a bird, so I sent it, meaning I let it go and released it.
And al-mursalat, in the scripture: the winds, and it was said the horses, and Tha'lab said: the angels.
And al-mursalah: a necklace that falls upon the chest.
And ar-rasl: milk, whatever kind it may be.
And the people sent forth, so they are mursalūn: their milk became abundant, and they had milk from their livestock.
The abundant milk producers invited us to lands, ... in which are the departing year and the pregnant camels.
And a man mursal: abundant in milk, drinking, and sending.
I am not a shepherd of a flock standing in its midst, ... with a long staff, a tall, wading, milk-abundant bird.
And ar-rasl: those possessing milk.
That he said: I saw in a year when milk was abundant, the white was more than the black, then I saw after that in a year when dates were abundant, the black was more than the white.
And ar-risl: milk, which is the white; when it is abundant, dates, which is the black, are scarce. And the Bedouins say: when the white is abundant, the black is scarce, and when the black is abundant, the white is scarce.
And ar-ruslān from a horse: the extremities of the upper arms (forelegs).
And ar-rāsilān: the shoulder blades, and it was said two veins in them, and it was said the two shoulder joints.
And he cast the speech upon its rasīlātuhu, meaning he was negligent of it.
And ar-rasīlā, shortened: a small creature.
And Umm Risālah: the vulture.
