Wool was metaphorically called thulla.
وقيل: الثلة الصوف والشعر والوبر إذا اجتمعت ولا يقال لواحد منها دون الآخر ثلة

ورجل مثل: كثير الثلة، ولا يقال للشعر ثلة ولا للوبر ثلة، فإذا اجتمع الصوف والشعر والوبر قيل: عند فلان ثلة كثيرة
And a man is muthall: having abundant thulla, and hair is not called thulla, nor is fur called thulla; but when wool, hair, and fur are gathered, it is said: So-and-so has abundant thulla.
والثلة، بالضم: الجماعة من الناس، وقد أثل الرجل فهو مثل إذا كثرت عنده الثلة
And al-thulla, with damma: a group of people, and a man is athala, and he is muthall if the group of people is numerous with him.
ثلة من الأولين وثلة من الآخرين
A group from the first ones and a group from the last ones.
فأنزل الله تعالى في أصحاب اليمين أنهم ثلتان: ثلة من هؤلاء، وثلة من هؤلاء، والمعنى هم فرقتان فرقة من هؤلاء وفرقة من هؤلاء
So Allah the Almighty revealed about the companions of the right that they are two groups: a group from these, and a group from these, meaning they are two divisions, a division from these and a division from these.
والثلة: الفئة
And al-thulla: the faction.
إن لهم ذمة الله وذمة رسوله على ديارهم وأموالهم وثلتهم
They have the covenant of Allah and the covenant of His Messenger over their homes, their properties, and their groups.
والثلة: الكثير من الدراهم
And al-thulla: a large amount of dirhams.
والثلة: شيء من طين يجعل في الفلاة يستظل به
And al-thulla: a thing made of clay in the desert for shade.
والثلة: التراب الذي يخرج من البئر
And al-thulla: the earth that comes out of a well.
وما أخرجت من أسفل الركية من الطين، وقد ثل البئر يثلها ثلا
And what you extract from the bottom of the well of mud, and you have thalla the well, meaning you excavate it.
وثلة البئر: ما أخرج من ترابها
And the thulla of the well: what is taken out of its earth.
أن يحتفر الرجل بئرا في موضع ليس بملك لأحد، فيكون له من حوالي البئر من الأرض ما يكون ملقى لثلة البئر، وهو ما يخرج من ترابها ويكون كالحريم لها، لا يدخل فيه أحد عليه حريما للبئر
That a man digs a well in a place not owned by anyone, and he has from the surroundings of the well of land what is thrown out as thulla of the well, which is what comes out of its earth and is like its protected area, and no one enters it violating its sanctity.
وتثلل التراب إذا مار فذهب وجاء
And the earth muthallal if it moves and goes and comes.
ثل إذا هلك
Thalla if he perished.
ثل إذا استغنى
Thalla if he became rich.
الثلل، بالتحريك، الهلاك
Al-thalal, with movement, is destruction.
ثللت الرجل أثله ثلا وثللا؛ عن الأصمعي، وثلهم يثلهم ثلا: أهلكهم
I thallalt a man, meaning I destroyed him, thallan and thallalan; from Al-Asma'i, and I thallalt them, meaning I destroyed them, thallan.
وصداء ألحقتهم بالثلل أي بالهلاك
And Sada' attached them to destruction, meaning to perishing.
إن يثقفوكم يلحقوكم بالثلل أي بالهلاك
If they catch you, they will attach you to destruction, meaning to perishing.
ثل البيت يثله ثلا: هدمه، وهو أن يحفر أصل الحائط ثم يدفع فينقاض، وهو أهول الهدم
Thalla the house, meaning he demolished it, which is to dig the base of the wall then push it so it collapses, and it is the most terrifying of demolitions.
وتثلل هو: تهدم وتساقط شيئا بعد شيء
And it muthallal: it crumbles and falls little by little.
ثل عرش فلان ثلا: هدم وزال أمر قومه
Thalla the throne of so-and-so, meaning it was demolished and the affairs of his people ceased.
وزال قوام أمره وأثله الله
And the support of his affair ceased, and Allah thallahu (destroyed him).
ثل عرشه ثلا تضعضعت حاله
Thalla his throne, meaning his condition weakened.
تداركتما الأحلاف قد ثل عرشها، وذبيان قد زلت بأقدامها النعل
You two remedied the allies whose throne had been demolished, and Dhubyan whose sandals had slipped.
كأنه هدم وأهلك
As if it were demolished and destroyed.
ويقال للقوم إذا ذهب عزهم: قد ثل عرشهم
And it is said of a people when their glory is gone: their throne has been demolished.
ثل الله عرشهم أي هدم ملكهم
May Allah thalla their throne, meaning demolish their kingdom.
كاد يثل عرشي أي يكسر ويهدم، وهو مثل يضرب للرجل إذا ذل وهلك
It almost thalla my throne, meaning it broke and demolished it, and it is a metaphor for a man when he is humbled and perishes.
وثل عرشه وعرشه: قتل

وكل ما انهدم من نحو عرش الكرم والعريش الذي يتخذ شبه الظلة، فقد ثل
