اللبق الحلو اللين الأخلاق
Al-labiq is sweet and gentle in character.
ومن ذلك الملبقة إنما سميت ملبقة للينها وحلاوتها
And from that is al-malbaqah, it is only called malbaqah for its softness and sweetness.
وهذا الأمر يلبق بك أي يوافقك ويزكو بك.
And this matter suits you, meaning it agrees with you and prospers you.
هذا الأمر لا يليق بك ولا يلبق بك
This matter does not suit you and is not fitting for you.
تلبيق الثريد بالسمن إذا أكثر أدمه.
