Because if the name has five letters, all of which are roots, the last letter is omitted in the plural, and likewise in the diminutive. The dal was omitted from this name because it is from the same articulation point as the ta', and the ta' is among the added letters, so it was more appropriate to omit it. The standard form is farazid, and likewise the diminutive is fariziq and farizad.
And if you wish, you can substitute in the plural and diminutive. If the name with five letters has one extra letter, omission is more appropriate, for example, madhraja and jahnafa, you say dahrija and jahifa, and the plural is madharaj and jahafil, and if you wish, you can substitute in the plural and diminutive.
