He is a khaziq (unapproachable) of his leaves if he is not to be coveted.
وخزقه بعينه: حددها إليه ورماه بها
And to pierce him with his eye: to direct it sharply towards him and cast it upon him.
وأرض خزق: لا يحتبس عليها ماؤها ويخرج ترابها
And khazq land: water does not stay on it, and its soil crumbles.
وخزق الطائر والرجل: ألقى ما في بطنه
And a bird or a man disgorges: he expels what is in his belly.
ويقال للأمة: يا خزاق يكنى به عن الذرق
And it is said to a female slave: O Khazaq, which is a euphemism for dung.
