مخرنبق لينباع، ولينباع لينبسط، وقيل: هو المطرق المتربص بالفرصة يثب على عدوه أو حاجته إذا أمكنه الوثوب.
Mukharribaq li-yanbaa', and li-yanbaa' li-yanbasit, and it is said: he is the one who lies in wait for an opportunity, pouncing on his enemy or his need when he can pounce.
ويقال: اخرنبق الرجل وهو انقماع المريب؛ وأنشد:
And it is said: the man akharnabaqa, which is the silence of the suspicious one; and he recited:
صاحب حانوت، إذا ما اخرنبقا ... فيه، علاه سكره فخذرقا
A shopkeeper, when he became silent... in it, his intoxication overcame him and he became armed.
يقال: رجل مخذرق وخذراق أي سلاح.
It is said: a man is mukhathraq and khadhraq, meaning armed.
واخرنبق: مثل اخرنفق إذا انقمع.
And akharnabaqa: like akhranafa when one becomes silent.
واخرنبق: لطئ بالأرض.
And akharnabaqa: to lie close to the ground.
والمخرنبق: اللاصق بالأرض.
