Abu Amr: Al-lifif is the great gathering of diverse mixtures, among them the noble and the base, the obedient and the disobedient, the strong and the weak.

جئنا بكم لفيفا ، أي أتينا بكم من كل قبيلة، وفي الصحاح: أي مجتمعين مختلطين.
