And the minshagha: the nasal applicator or the shell with which one applies; a poet said: I will apply it until its fierceness softens, ... with a dropper containing poison and bitter aloes.
والنشغ: التلقين، وربما قالوا نشغته الكلام نشغا أي لقنته وعلمته، وهو على التشبيه.

And in the Hadith of Abu Hurayrah: That he mentioned the Prophet, peace be upon him, and he gasped a gasp, meaning he inhaled sharply and fainted; Abu Ubayd said: A person does this out of longing for his companion or for something missed, and out of regret for him and love of meeting him.
قال: وهذا نشغ، بالغين، لا اختلاف فيه؛ قال رؤبة يمدح رجلا ويذكر شوقه إليه: عرفت أني ناشغ في النشغ، ... إليك أرجو من نداك الأسبغ
He said: And this is nashgh, with ghayn, there is no doubt about it; Ru'bah said, praising a man and mentioning his longing for him: I knew that I was gasping in my gasps, ... towards you I hope for abundant generosity from you.
والنشغة: تنفسة من تنفس الصعداء، يقال منه: نشغ ينشغ نشغا.
And al-nashgha: a breath from the breaths of sighing; it is said from it: he gasps, gasps, a gasp.
والنشغ: جعل الكاهن، وقد نشفه، والعين المهملة أعلى، ونشغ به نشغا: أولع، والعين المهملة لغة.
And al-nashgh: the incantation of the soothsayer, and he has incanted it, and the unpointed 'ayn is higher; and he was obsessed with it, a strong obsession, and the unpointed 'ayn is a dialectal variant.
أبو عمرو: نشغ به ونشع به وشغف به أي أولع به.

والناشغة: مجرى الماء إلى الوادي، وخص ابن الأعرابي بها الشعبة المسيلة أو الشعب المسيل.
And al-nashighah: the water channel to the valley, and Ibn al-A'rabi specified it as a flowing ravine or a flowing gorge.
قال أبو حنيفة: النواشغ أضخم من الشحاح، والنشغات فواقات خفيات جدا عند الموت، واحدتها نشغة، وقد نشغ وتنشغ.
Abu Hanifa said: Al-nawashigh are larger than al-shihah, and al-nashghat are very hidden exhalations at death, the singular of which is nashgha, and he has gasped and gasped.
وفي الحديث: لا تعجلوا بتغطية وجه الميت حتى ينشغ أو يتنشغ ؛ حكاه الهروي في الغريبين.

And a camel's stamping: striking its hoof on a place where flies bite; Abu Zubaid said: The difficult descent of the guards, when ... it stamps with a crowd, panic occurs for it.
يصف طريقا تنشغ بواردة أي يصير فيه الناس فتتضايق الطريق بالواردة، كما ينشغ بالشيء إذا غص به.
Describing a road that becomes congested with a crowd, meaning people become numerous in it, and the road becomes tight with the crowd, just as one chokes on something when he swallows it.
وفي حديث النجاشي: هل تنشغ فيكم الولد؟ أي اتسع وكثر؛ هكذا جاء في رواية، والمشهور تفشغ بالفاء، والله أعلم.
And in the Hadith of the Negus: Does the child become numerous among you? Meaning it became abundant and increased; this is how it came in one narration, and the famous version is 'tafshagha' with 'fa', and God knows best.
