وقال شمر: هو الذي يأتيك يلزم بابك في طلب ما عندك لا يبرح.
And Shammir said: He is one who comes to you and stays at your door asking for what you have, without leaving.
ورجل هبنقع وامرأة هبنقعة: وهو الأحمق يعرف حمقه في جلوسه وأموره.
And a habnaqa man and a habnaqa woman: he is the fool whose foolishness is known in his sitting and his affairs.
وقال الأصمعي: قال الزبرقان بن بدر: أبغض كنائني التي تمشي الدفقى وتجلس الهبنقعة؛ الدفقى مشي واسع، والهبنقعة أن تربع وتمد إحدى رجليها في تربعها.
And Al-Asma'i said: Al-Zibriqan bin Badr said: I detest my daughters-in-law who walk with a wide gait and sit in the habnaqa; Al-dafqa is a wide walk, and the habnaqa is to sit cross-legged and extend one of her legs in her cross-legged position.
وفي الحديث: مر بامرأة سوداء ترقص صبيا لها وتقول: يمشي الثطا ويجلس الهبنقعه هي أن يقعي ويضم فخذيه ويفتح رجليه.
And in the Hadith: He passed by a black woman dancing with her child and saying: He walks with a steady gait and sits in the habnaqa, which is to squat, draw the thighs together, and spread the legs.
