وشرّجع المطرقة والخشبة إذا كانت مربعة فنحتت من حروفها، تقول منه: شرجعه.
And he carved the hammer and the wood if it was square and its edges were carved, you say from it: sharja'ahu.
والمشرجع: المطول الذي لا حرف لنواحيه من مطارق الحدادين؛
And al-mishrja': The elongated one which has no edges to its sides, from the blacksmiths' hammers;
قال الشاعر: كأن ما بين عينيها ومذبحها ... مشرجع من علاة القين، ممطول
The poet said: As if what is between her eyes and her throat ... is an elongated thing from the smith's anvil, stretched out.
