And az-zam' from plants: something here and something here, like scattered clouds in the sky.
والزَّمْعَة: أَصْغَرُ من الرَّحَابِ بَيْنَ كُلِّ رَحْبَتَيْنِ زَمْعَةٌ تَقْصُرُ عن الوادِي
And az-zam'ah: smaller than the wide expanses; between any two wide expanses is a zam'ah that falls short of the valley.

And it is a short-paced walk, and az-zam'an: the slow walk.
والزَّمْعِيُّ: الخَسِيسُ
And az-zam'iyy: the base or lowly.
والزَّمْعِيُّ: السَّرِيعُ الغَضَبِ، وهُوَ الدَّاهِيَةُ من الرِّجالِ
And az-zam'iyy: the quick-tempered, he is the formidable one among men.
ويُقالُ: جاءَ فُلانٌ بالأَزامِعِ أي بالأُمُورِ المُنْكَراتِ
And it is said: So-and-so came with azāmi': meaning with reprehensible matters.
والأَزامِعُ: الدَّواهِ، واحِدُها أَزْمَعُ
And al-azāmi': calamities, the singular of which is azma'.
