Ibn al-A'rabi said: Al-nakḥṭ are the players with spears, bravely; as if he meant the spearmen among men.
ويقال للسخد وهو الماء الذي في المشيمة: النخط، فإذا اصفر فهو الصفق والصفر والصفار.
And al-sakd, which is the water in the amniotic sac, is called al-nakḥṭ; and if it turns yellow, it is al-ṣafq, al-ṣufr, and al-ṣufār.
والنخط أيضا: النخاع وهو الخيط الذي في القفا.
And al-nakḥṭ also means: al-nukhaʿ, which is the cord that is in the nape of the neck.
