ورأى ضوء ناري فاستناها وأومضا

And he saw the light of my fire, so he waited for it and signaled.

الوميض أن يومض البرق إيماضة ضعيفة ثم يخفى ثم يومض

Al-wameed is when lightning flashes a weak flash, then disappears, then flashes again.

وأومض له بعينه: أومأ

And he signaled to him with his eye: he gestured.

هلا أومضت إلي يا رسول الله أي هلا أشرت إلي إشارة خفية من أومض البرق وومض

Why didn't you signal to me, O Messenger of Allah? Meaning, why didn't you give me a subtle gesture, like the subtle flash of lightning and wamada?
