He cried out of fear of dying, and the soul yearned for him, and her weeping intensified.
ومضى جرش «6» من الليل، وحكي عن ثعلب: جرش، قال ابن سيده: ولست منه على ثقة.
And a portion of the night passed, and from Tha'lab it is narrated: جرش, Ibn Sidah said: I am not confident about it.
وأتاه بجرش من الليل أي بآخر منه.

The water of the well flowed down from Jarshiyyah, upon a dry land, its setting sun rising over the ruins.
لأن أهل جرش يستقون على الإبل.

وناقتي جرشية: حمراء.

وهو أسرع العنب إدراكا، وزعم أبو حنيفة أن عناقيده طوال وحبه متفرق، قال: وزعموا أن العنقود منه يكون ذراعا، وفي العنوق حمراء جرشية، ومن الأعناب عنب جرشي بالغ جيد ينسب إلى جرش.
And it is the fastest of grapes to ripen, and Abu Hanifa claimed that its clusters are long and its berries are scattered, he said: And they claimed that a cluster of it can be a cubit long, and among the grapes is a reddish-brown Jarshiyyah, and among the grapes is a good mature Jarshi grape attributed to Jarsh.
والجرش: الأكل. قال الأزهري: الصواب بالسين.
And the جرش: eating. Al-Azhari said: The correct pronunciation is with a sin.
ورجل مجرئش الجنب: منتفخه؛
And a man with swollen flanks: his flanks are swollen;
إنك يا جهضم ماهي القلب، ... جاف عريض مجرئش الجنب
Indeed, O Jahdham, you are not the heart, but dry, broad, swollen-flanked.
والمجرئش أيضا: المجتمع الجنب، وقيل: المجرئش الغليظ الجنب الجافي، وقال الليث: هو المنتفخ الوسط من ظاهر وباطن.
And the مجرئش is also: the one with joined flanks, and it is said: the مجرئش is the one with thick, rough flanks, and Al-Layth said: it is the one whose middle is swollen, outwardly and inwardly.
اجرأش إذا ثاب جسمه بعد هزال، وقال أبو الدقيش: هو الذي هزل وظهرت عظامه؛
He regained strength if his body returned after emaciation, and Abu Al-Daqish said: it is he who became emaciated and his bones appeared;
