وقد يكنى بالدعس عن الجماع.
And 'al-da's' can be a euphemism for sexual intercourse.
ودعس فلان جاريته دعسا إذا نكحها.
And so-and-so had sexual intercourse with his slave girl, 'da'san', if he married her.

ويقال: رأيت طريقا دعسا أي كثير الآثار.
And it is said: I saw a road 'da'san', meaning full of tracks.
والمدعوس من الأرضين: الذي قد كثر به الناس ورعاه المال حتى أفسده وكثرت فيه آثاره وأبواله، وهم يكرهونه إلا أن يجمعهم أثر سحابة لا يجدون منها بدا.
And 'al-mad'us' of lands: that upon which people have become numerous and livestock have grazed until it is spoiled and its tracks and droppings are abundant, and they dislike it unless they are forced to by the trace of a cloud they cannot avoid.
والمدعاس: الطريق الذي لينته المارة؛ قال رؤبة بن العجاج يصف حميرا وردت الماء: في رسم آثار ومدعاس دعق، ... يردن تحت الأثل سياح الدسق
And 'al-mid'as': the path that has been softened by passers-by; Ru'bah ibn al-'Ajjaj said, describing wild asses coming to water: In the trace of tracks and a soft path, ... they come to drink under the tamarisk trees, flowing with white water.
والطريق الدعاق: الذي كثر عليه المشي.
And the road 'al-du'aq': that upon which walking has become frequent.
ومدعس القوم: مختبزهم ومشتواهم في البادية وحيث توضع الملة، وهو مفتعل من الدعس، وهو الحشو.
And 'mad'as' of a people: their place of baking and their wintering place in the desert and where the salt is placed, and it is derived from 'al-da's', which is stuffing.

And I stuffed the container: I filled it; Abu Dhu'ayb said: And a stuffed container with meat in it I hid, ... in a barren land, whose donkey visits the watering place.
