Ibn al-A'rabi said: Kab yakubu when he drank with the kub, and it is the kuz without a handle, so if it has a handle, it is a kuz.

يُقَالُ: رَأَيْتُهُ يَكُوزُ ويَكْتَازُ ويَكُوبُ ويَكْتَابُ

It is said: I saw him yakuzu, and yaktazu, and yakubu, and yaktabu.

واكْتَازَ الْمَاءَ: اغْتَرَفَهُ، وَهُوَ افْتَعَلَ مِنَ الْكُوزِ

And iktaza the water: he scooped it up, and it is ifta'ala from the kuz.

وَفِي حَدِيثِ الْحَسَنِ: كَانَ مَلِكٌ مِنْ مُلُوكِ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ يَرَى الْغُلَامَ مِنْ غِلْمَانِهِ يَأْتِي الْحَبَّ يَكْتَازُ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ يَجْرَجِرُ قَائِمًا فَيَقُولُ: يَا لَيْتَنِي مِثْلُكَ، يَا لَهَا نِعْمَةً، تَأْكُلُ لَذَّةً وَتَخْرُجُ سَرْحًا

And in the hadith of Al-Hasan: There was a king from the kings of this village who saw a youth from his servants coming to the grain, scooping from it, then passing it, standing, and he would say: 'Oh, I wish I were like you, oh what a blessing, you eat with pleasure and excrete freely.'

يَكْتَازُ أَي يَغْتَرِفُ بِالْكُوزِ
