And from this, Rajaz poetry is named due to the proximity of its parts and its few letters.
ثلاث صلين النار شهرا، وأرزمت ... عليهن رجزاء القيام هدوج
Three stones that endured fire for a month, and they (the stones) made a rumbling sound... over them, a heavy rajza' (pot) for rising (boiling).
ويقال للريح إذا كانت دائمة: إنها لرجزاء، وقد رجزت رجزا
And it is said of a wind if it is continuous: it is indeed rajza' (continuous), and it has made a rumbling sound.

Whoever reads the entire Quran in less than three (days) is a rajiz (one who recites quickly).

And among the people is he who worships Allah on an uncertain [basis] (lit. on a حرف), meaning on doubt, insecurity, lack of firm hold, or tranquility.

لئن كشفت عنا الرجز لنؤمنن لك
If you remove from us the torment, we will surely believe you.
هو بكسر الراء، العذاب والإثم والذنب.
It is with a kasra on the ra, torment, sin, and guilt.

And remove from you the pollution of Satan.
وترجز الرجل إذا تحرك تحركا بطيئا ثقيلا لكثرة مائه.
And a man 'tarajjaza' if he moves with a slow, heavy movement due to his abundance of water (e.g., full of drink).
والرجازة: ما عدل به ميل الحمل والهودج، وهو كساء يجعل فيه حجارة ويعلق بأحد جانبي الهودج ليعدله إذا مال، سمي بذلك لاضطرابه
