And Al-mashrah: what the shepherd gathers from tree leaves with his crook; he means: that this wild goat grazes on leaves that are not easily gathered for it with crooks, and its easiest task is to eat this tender grass beneath the trees without effort.

وأرض ماشرة: وهي التي اهتز نباتها واستوت ورويت من المطر، وقال بعضهم: أرض ناشرة بهذا المعنى؛ وقد مشر الشجر ومشر وأمشر وتمشر.

And it is said: a sharp-eared, beautiful ear, meaning it has the freshness and beauty of freedom, and it was said: delicate and beautiful; and his saying: And she had a sharp-eared, beautiful ear... like a date palm spathe when it turns yellow

إنما عنى أنها دقيقة كالورقة قبل أن تتشعب.

He only meant that it was delicate like a leaf before it branches out.

وحشرة: محددة الطرف، وقيل: مشرة إتباع حشرة.

And hashrah: sharp-tipped, and it was said: mashrah is an adjective following hashrah.

قال ابن بري: البيت للنمر بن تولب يصف أذن ناقته ورقتها ولطفها، شبهها بإعليط المرخ، وهو الذي يكون فيه الحب، وعليه مشرة غنى أي أثر غنى.

Ibn Al-Bari said: The verse is by Al-Nimr bin Tawalib, describing his she-camel's ear, its delicacy and gentleness, comparing it to a date palm spathe, which contains the fruit, and upon it is the freshness of wealth, meaning the trace of wealth.

وأمشرت الأرض: ظهر نباتها.

And the land sprouted: its vegetation appeared.

وما أحسن مشرتها، بالتحريك، أي نشرتها ونباتها.

And how beautiful is its new growth, with vowelization, meaning its spread and vegetation.

وقال أبو خيرة: مشرتها ورقها، ومشرة الأرض أيضا، بالتسكين؛ وأنشد:

قال: ومعنى أشيعا أظهرا أنا نقسم ما عندنا من اللحم حتى يقصدنا المستطعمون ويأتينا المسترفدون، ثم قال: وأي زمان قدرنا لم تمشر أي هذا الذي أمرتكما به هو خلق لنا وعادة في الأزمنة على اختلافها؛ وبعده:

He said: And 'ashiy'a' means 'make apparent', meaning we divide what meat we have so that those seeking food come to us and those seeking generosity arrive. Then he said: 'And what time of ours was it that it was not divided?' meaning this which I commanded you both is our nature and custom across different times; and after it:

فبتنا بخير في كرامة ضيفنا، ... وبتنا نؤدي طعمة غير ميسر

So we spent the night well, honoring our guest, ... and we spent the night distributing a meal that was not easy.

وقيل: الممشر المفرق لكل شيء.

And it was said: Al-mumshar is that which is divided of everything.

والتمشير: النشاط للجماع؛ عن ابن الأعرابي.

And At-tamshir: enthusiasm for intercourse; from Ibn Al-A'rabi.

وفي الحديث: إني إذا أكلت اللحم وجدت في نفسي تمشيرا أي نشاطا للجماع ، وجعله الزمخشري حديثا مرفوعا.

And in the Hadith: Indeed, when I eat meat, I find in myself tamshir, meaning enthusiasm for intercourse, and Al-Zamakhshari considered it a Marfu' Hadith.
