يجوز أن يعني موضع كور العمامة: والكوار والكوارة: شيء يتخذ للنحل من القضبان، وهو ضيق الرأس.

وكورت الشمس: جمع ضوءها ولف كما تلف العمامة، وقيل: معنى كورت غورت، وهو بالفارسية [كوربكر] وقال مجاهد: كورت اضمحلت وذهبت.

And the sun was 'kawwart': its light was gathered and rolled up like a turban is rolled. It is said: the meaning of 'kawwart' is 'ghawwart' (set), which in Persian is [korbekr]. Mujahid said: 'kawwart' means faded and gone.

يجاء بالشمس والقمر ثورين يكوران في النار يوم القيامة أي يلفان ويجمعان ويلقيان فيها، والرواية ثورين، بالثاء، كأنهما يمسخان؛ قال ابن الأثير: وقد روي بالنون، وهو تصحيف.

The sun and the moon will be brought as two bulls, 'yakkawwirani' in the fire on the Day of Resurrection, meaning they will be rolled up, gathered, and thrown into it. The narration is 'thawrayn' (two bulls), with a 'tha', as if they were transformed; Ibn Al-Athir said: it has also been narrated with 'nun', which is a corruption.

والكورة من البلاد المخلاف، وهي القرية من قرى اليمن؛ قال ابن دريد: لا أحسبه عربيا.

There is no charity due on what the beehives produce, the singular of which is 'kawr', with dammah, and it is the house of bees and wasps; he meant that there is no charity on honey.

And 'al-mukawwari': the large dung, and Sibawayh made it an adjective, Al-Sirafi explained it as one with a large nostril, and the kasra on the 'mim' is a dialectal variation, derived from 'kawarah' if he gathered it. He said: it is 'maf'ali', with a shadda on the 'lam', because 'fa'lali' did not occur. The 'alif' may be omitted, so it is said 'mukawwar', and the feminine in all of that is with 'ha'; Kara' said: it has no parallel.
