And they said in insult: O son of the ma'barah, meaning the uncircumcised, and its origin is from that.
والعبر: العقاب، وقد قيل: إنه العثر، بالثاء، وسيذكر في موضعه.
And al-'abar: the vulture, and it has been said it is al-'athar, with a thaa', and it will be mentioned in its place.
وبنات عبر: الباطل؛ قال: إذا ما جئت جاء بنات عبر، ... وإن وليت أسرعن الذهابا
