It is said, 'A man will not harm you in relation to him,' meaning you will not find a man who adds to what this man possesses in sufficiency.
And 'a load will not harm you in relation to him,' meaning it will not add to you.
And 'al-ḍarīr' is a name for harm, and it is most often used in the context of jealousy.
It is said: 'How intense is her jealousy over him!'
And indeed, he is possessor of jealousy towards his wife.
And 'ḍārahu muḍāratan wa ḍirāran' means: he opposed him.
Do you dispute among yourselves concerning the sight of the sun when there are no clouds?
Then you will not be harmed or disagree in seeing Him, blessed and exalted is He.
'Ḍārahu ḍayran fa-ḍararahu ḍarran,' and the meaning is 'do not harm each other in seeing Him,' meaning do not crowd each other so that one may see Him alone.
And 'al-ḍarar' means distress or difficulty.
It is said: 'I opposed a man, ḍirāran and muḍāratan,' if you opposed him.
And some of them say, 'lā tuḍārrūna' (with a fatha on the ta'), meaning you will not be crowded together.
And it is narrated, 'lā tuḍāmmūna' in seeing Him, meaning you will not join together and crowd each other, saying to him: 'Show him to me,' as they do when looking at the new moon, but rather each one will see Him individually.
And it is narrated, 'lā tuḍāmmūna' (with abbreviation), and its meaning is 'no injustice will befall you in seeing Him,' meaning you will see Him until you are equal in sight, so that one does not oppress another.
And the meanings of these words, although they differ, are close, and everything narrated concerning them is correct, and one word does not invalidate another.
Whoever narrates it as: 'Hal tuḍārrūna fi ru'yatihi' (Do you dispute in seeing Him?), its meaning is 'Do you contend and disagree?' and it is from the pattern 'tatafā'alūna' from 'al-ḍirār'.
And the interpretation of 'lā tuḍārrūna' is that no harm will befall you in seeing Him, and 'tuḍārrūna' (with abbreviation) is from 'al-ḍayr', which is harm, and 'tuḍāmmūna' means no injustice will reach you in seeing Him.
So the intensified form means 'you do not disagree or argue about the validity of looking at Him' due to His clarity and obviousness. It is said: 'ḍārahu yuḍāruhu' like 'ḍarahu yaḍurruhu'.
And it was said: 'He intended by 'al-muḍārah' the gathering and crowding when looking at Him.'
As for the abbreviated form, it is from 'al-ḍayr', a variant pronunciation for 'al-ḍarr', and the meaning is the same as the first.
So it is from 'al-muḍāyaqah' (causing distress), meaning you will not be crowded together in a way that you draw near to each other and cause discomfort.
