And that He is the Lord of Al-Shi'ra; Al-Shi'ra: a bright star called Al-Mirzam, which rises after Al-Jauza', and its rising is in intense heat; the Arabs say: 'When Al-Shi'ra rises, the beekeeper sees.'
And they are the two Shi'rayan: Al-'Abur which is in Al-Jauza', and Al-Ghamisa' which is in Al-Dhirā'; the Arabs claim they are the sisters of Suhail, and the rising of Al-Shi'ra follows the rising of Al-Huq'ah.
And 'Abd Al-Shi'ra Al-'Abur was a group of Arabs in the pre-Islamic era; and it is said: 'It crossed the sky horizontally, and none other crossed it horizontally.' So God Almighty revealed: 'And that He is the Lord of Al-Shi'ra'; meaning, the Lord of Al-Shi'ra that you worship, and the other was named Al-Ghamisa' because the Arabs said in their tales: 'She wept in the wake of Al-'Abur until she became bleary-eyed.'

Al-Jauhari said: 'And Al-Ash'ar is the father of a tribe from Yemen, and he is Ash'ar bin Saba' bin Yushjab bin Ya'rub bin Qahtan.'
And the Arabs say: 'Al-Ash'arun brought you,' omitting the two 'ya's of attribution.
And Banu Al-Shu'ayra': a known tribe.
And Al-Shuway'ir: a nickname of Muhammad bin Humran bin Abi Humran Al-Ja'fi, and he is one of those named Muhammad in the pre-Islamic era, and the seven named Muhammad in the pre-Islamic era are mentioned in their place. Imru' al-Qais gave him this nickname, and he had asked him to sell him a horse, but he refused, so he said about him:
Convey from me to Al-Shuway'ir that I... have intentionally chosen these eyes and adorned them for Harima.
And Al-Shuway'ir said, addressing Imru' al-Qais: 'Matters came to me and I disbelieved them, ... and they grew for me year after year that Imru' al-Qais became depressed, ... over his gods, not tasting food. By your father, who is not insulted... your honor was forbidden to me. And they said: 'You satirized, and I did not satirize him, ... and will he find in you a desired target?'
And Al-Shuway'ir Al-Hanifi: he is Hani' bin Tuwbah Al-Shaybani; Abu Al-'Abbas Al-Tha'lab recited for him:
And he who spends his evening, with his world being his sole concern, ... is clinging to a rope of delusion.
So Al-Shuway'ir was named because of this verse.
