And it is narrated: shawā of her head, the plural of shawāh, which is the skin of the head;
قال: وأراه شوى جمع شواة.

أن النبي، صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال لأصحابه: قوموا فقد صنع جابر سورا ؛
That the Prophet, peace be upon him, said to his companions: Stand up, for Jabir has prepared a sur (food);
قال أبو العباس: وإنما يراد من هذا أن النبي، صلى الله عليه وسلم، تكلم بالفارسية.
Abu al-Abbas said: And what is intended by this is that the Prophet, peace be upon him, spoke in Persian.
صنع سورا أي طعاما دعا الناس إليه.
He prepared suran, meaning food to which he invited people.
وسورى، مثال بشرى، موضع بالعراق من أرض بابل، وهو بلد السريانيين.
And Sūrā, like bushra, is a place in Iraq from the land of Babylon, and it is the land of the Syrians.
