الحذر مصدر قولك حذرت أحذر حذرا، فأنا حاذر وحذر،
Al-hadhar is the masdar of your saying 'I feared, I fear, with fear', so I am fearful and cautious.
ومن قرأ: وإنا لجميع حاذرون؛ أي مستعدون.
And whoever reads: 'And indeed, we are all prepared'; meaning, we are ready.
ومن قرأ: حذرون، فمعناه إنا نخاف شرهم.

روي عن ابن مسعود أنه قال مؤدون: ذوو أداة من السلاح.

وكأن الحذر المخلوق حذرا لا تلقاه إلا حذرا.
And it is as if the hathir, created with caution, you do not meet him except with caution.
والحذر المتيقظ؛
And al-hathir is the vigilant one.
وبزة من فوق كمي حاذر، ... ونثرة سلبتها عن عامر، وحربة مثل قدامى الطائر
And armor over my cautious sleeves, ... and a spearhead I took from 'Amir, and a spear like the beak of a bird.
ورجل حذريان إذا كان حذرا، على فعليان.
And a man is hathriyan if he is cautious, following the pattern 'fa'liyan'.
ويحذركم الله نفسه*
And Allah warns you of Himself.
أي يحذركم إياه.
Meaning, He warns you of Him.
في العين الحذر، وهو ثقل فيها من قذى يصيبها؛
In the eye, al-hadhar, which is a heaviness in it from debris that affects it.
والحذل باللام، طول البكاء وأن لا تجف عين الإنسان.
And al-hadhal, with a lam, is prolonged crying and that a person's eye does not dry.
وقد حذره الأمر وأنا حذيرك منه محذرك منه أحذركه.
And the matter was warned to him, and I am your warner from it, your cautioner from it, I warn you from it.
حذار يا فلان أي احذر؛
Beware, O so-and-so, meaning be cautious.
حذار من أرماحنا حذار ... أو تجعلوا دونكم وبار

والمحذورة: كالحذر مصدر كالمصدوقة والملزومة، وقيل: هي الحرب.
And al-mahthura: is like al-hadhar, a masdar like al-masduqa and al-malzuma, and it is said: it is war.
ويقال: حذار مثل قطام أي احذر،
And it is said: 'hithar' like 'qattām' meaning beware.
حذار حذار من فوارس دارم، ... أبا خالد من قبل أن تتندما
Beware, beware of the horsemen of Darim, ... O Abu Khalid, before you regret.
وقالوا. حذاريك، جعلوه بدلا من اللفظ بالفعل، ومعنى التثنية أنه يريد: ليكن منك حذر بعد حذر.
And they said: 'hitharik', they made it a substitute for the verbal form, and the dual meaning is that they intend: let there be caution after caution from you.

And Al-Laythiyani narrated: 'hitharak', with a kasra on the ra, and 'huthra' is a form built from al-hadhar; and it is a noun that Sibawayh mentioned.
والحذرية والحذرياء: الأرض الخشنة؛ ويقال لها حذار اسم معرفة.
And al-hadhriyya and al-hadhrayya: are rough land; and it is called 'hithar', a definite noun.
الحذرية الأرض الغليظة من القف الخشنة، والجمع الحذارى،
Al-hadhriyya is the coarse land of the rough plateau, and the plural is al-hadhara.
وأعلى الجبل إذا كان صلبا غليظا مستويا، فهو حذرية،
